Cherry Shortbread Cookie Recipe

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
1/2 cup red maraschino cherries ( quartered )

Baking your cookies
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In mixing bowl, combine butter, flour, and sugar.
Beat for 6 minutes With an electric mixer,
until light and fluffy.
Spoon cookie dough onto cookie sheets, spacing approx.
2 inches apart.
Place a piece of quartered maraschino cherry onto
the middle of each cookie.
Bake for 15 to 17 minutes
or until bottoms are lightly browned.
Let cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes,
transfer cookies onto wire rack to cool.
