Peanut butter Chocolate Chip Teddy Bear Christmas Cookies
A Fun Holiday Treat

Ingredients:
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup butter
( softened )
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup vegetable shortening
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
semi sweet chocolate chips



Baking your Christmas cookies
In large mixing bowl combine peanut butter ,sugar ,brown sugar , butter , shortening and eggs.Beat until light and fluffy.Add all-purpose flour ,baking soda and salt.Beat again until soft cookie dough forms.Shape your cookie dough into balls
The kids can have some Christmas fun with this part of your recipe.
Shape:
12 - 2 inch balls for your Teddy bear bodies
12 - 1 inch balls ( Teddy bear heads)
48 - 1/2 inch balls ( about the size of a marble for arms and legs)
24 - slightly smaller 3/8 inch balls ( ears )
Line 4 cookie sheets with non-stick foil.Place 2" balls on 4 lined cookie sheets, 3 cookie balls each ,evenly spaced.Flatten balls to 1/2" thick.Position 1" balls for heads and flatten to 1/2 inch,lightly press them into the body of your Teddy bears.Attach remaining balls for arms legs and ears by lightly pressing them into the sides of your flattened dough.
Add chocolate chips for eyes nose and buttons.
Preheat oven to 375° Bake until golden brown about 10-12 minutes.Cool 15 minutes before placing on wire racks.
Makes about 1/2 dozen cookies.
